Marilyn Beach

KERRVILLE Marilyn J. Hughes Beach, 84, of Kerrville, passed from this life on January 6, 2010 at a local hospital.

Born in Columbus, OH on June 13, 1925, she was the daughter of Evan and Lillian Eckardt Hughes. She had lived in Kerrville many years, coming here from San Diego, CA.

Mrs. Beach had attended Northwest University.

In her early years, Mrs. Beach worked in radio in Chicago doing voice commercials. After that, she was a model for John Robert Powers Modeling Agency.

Mrs. Beach was a loving Christian woman.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Louis S. Beach in 2004, and by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, James Beach of Kerrville a close friend and sisterinlaw, Lynn Hughes of Atlanta, GA and nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 11AM, at Kerrville Funeral Home Main Chapel. Interment will be private at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio. With Rev. Sam Ligon officiating.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the charity of your choice.
