Kerrville Leona Marie Brock, 72, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at her residence. She was born on November 21, 1934 in Crosbyton, TX to W.R. and Leona Easter Dunlap.Mrs. Brock graduated from high school in 1952 from Ralls High School, Ralls, TX where she was AllDistrict on the Girls Basketball Team. She married Harold Brock at the First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton on December 18, 1953. He preceded her in death in April 2006. She later served as the church secretary for the First United Methodist Church of Lockney, TX.She and Harold spent their life together farming and ranching in Lockney, TX, as well as owning and operating a cattle feedlot, a swine operation, and managed ranches in Mitchell and Kerr counties.Mrs. Brock was a member of Kerrville First United Methodist Church where she loved singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Kerr County Republican Womens Club, having been a former candidate for county commissioner at one time. Marie was also a member of Farm Bureau.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband.Surviving her are her son, Richard Harold Brock and wife, Anne of Dallas daughter, Leona Carol Brock Norfleet of Dallas grandson, William Richard Brock of Dallas granddaughters, Elizabeth Anne Brock, Catherine Marie Brock, and Jamie Carol Norfleet, all of Dallas brothers, Roy Dunlap and wife Riley of Killeen, TX and Frank Dunlap and wife Lila of Farmington, NM sister, Willie Ruth Butler of Hereford, TX. She is also survived by a host of many loving friends and neighbors and her church familyation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home from 5 7 PM, Sunday, October 7, 2007. Memorial Services will be held for Mrs. Brock at 10 AM, Monday, October 8, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, TX with Rev. Dr. Warren Hornung officiating. Private Interment will follow the service.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
