Kerrville ndash Marian Marie Barclay, 83, of Kerrville, Texas, passed from this life for an eternity in heaven on March 14, 2009.nbspnbspnbspMrs. Barclay was born April 4, 1925 in Lubbock, TX to Edgar R. and Ethel L. Landers McCollum.nbsp After attending Lubbock High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, she married Edgar M. Barclay in 1943 and later resided in Lubbock, TX.nbspnbsp She was not only a wonderful mother to her children, a loving grandmother and greatgrandmother, but she was also cherished by many people in the community where she was well known and loved.nbspShe was an active member of Southern Oaks Baptist Church in Kerrville, a church that she loved dearly.nbsp For many years, she was active and a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock.nbsp For most of their married life, the Barclay family owned two different grocery stores and operated Edrsquos Wagon Wheel Western Wear in the Lubbock community.nbspShe is survived by her son, Ed Barclay and wife Nancy of Kerrville, TX daughter, Kay Roach and husband James of Tooele, UT brother, William E. Bill and wife Nell McCollum of Sachse, TX grandchildren, Jim Roach, Shanna Davis, Brooke Neff, Shea Shaver, Ryan Lindsey and Blake Barclay 8 greatgrandchildren, and a host of many loving friends and neighbors along with her beloved church family.nbspA visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 57 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028.nbsp Funeral Services are to be held at 10 AM, Saturday, March 21, 2009 in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, TX 79407.nbsp Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.nbspnbsp
