Maria Piña

Maria Elena Piña, 53, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on October 16, 2020 at a local care facility. Maria was born March 8, 1967 in CD Acuna Coahuila, Mexico to parents, Amalio Valenzuela and Maria Vazquez.

Maria came to Kerrville, Texas 24 years ago with husband, Jose Piña and her two daughters, Bernice Piña and Yesenia Piña.  She loved to dance and be around her family. In 1993, she gave birth to her third child Bruno Piña, and in 1998 she welcomed into this world her fourth child Jose Piña Jr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Amalio Valenzuela and Maria Vazquez; husband, Jose Piña Ruiz; brothers, Melquiades Valenzuela, Rodolpho Valenzuela, Arnulfo Valenzuela and sister, Antonia Valenzuela.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include children, Bruno Piña, Jose Piña Jr., Yesenia Piña, Bernice Piña, Estrella Rodriguez and Guadalupe Rodriguez; siblings, Margarita Valenzuela, Amalio Valenzuela, Javier Valenzuela, Esther Valenzuela along with her grandchildren, Brianna, Josue, Rogelio, Felix, Sophia, Trinity, EJ and numerous nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her dearly.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday October 22,2020 at Kerrville Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, October 23, 2020 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Rafael Duda as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
