Kerrville Margretta Gretta Braton, 81, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on June 29, 2007 at a local care facility. She was born December 21, 1925 to Carl and Eloise Allen Snyder in Kansas City, MO.Mrs. Braton grew up in Kansas City, MO, graduating from Paseo High School in 1943. She also obtained a degree in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State University, graduating with honors at age 50.She met the love of her life, Leonard Stanley Braton and they were married on December 18, 1959 in Kansas City, MO. They later moved to Warrensburg, MO. where they lived until 1979. Moving to Oklahoma City, OK, together they bought a business and operated it until they decided to sell and move. In 1994, the move to Kerrville, TX became reality where they enjoyed the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.Mrs. Braton was active in the Family Literacy Council, she taught GED classes at the Kerr County Jail, and was a private Mentor. She was also a member of the Unity Church.Surviving Mrs. Braton are her loving husband, Leonard Stanley Stan Braton of Kerrville, TX a daughter, Toni and husband Robert Curry of Tustin, CA sister, Mary Jane Peterson of Highland Park, NJ two grandchildren along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2007 in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, Kerrville, TX with the Rev. Pattie Edwards officiating. In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests memorials be sent to the Salvation Army.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral
