Margaret Pitcher Williams,97, passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at her residence in Ingram. She was born on July 25, 1906 in Alton,NY.to John Dayton Pitcher and Emma Short Pitcher. She married Albert J. Williams in San Antonio, TX. in 1932.Mrs. Williams moved to Ingram in 1964 after retiring as a teacher. She taught english for 38 years at Kilgore High School, Mexia High School and Baylor University. She received her BA from Keuka College in 1928. She received her MA from Baylor University in 1934.After moving to Ingram to enjoy retirement she was a very active member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Ingram where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, A.J.Mrs. Williams is survived by three nieces, Linda Sheehan of Cato, N.Y., Janice Obine of Sodus, NY. and Jean Hopkins of Zephyrsville, FL., adopted grandchildren Mark and Julie Hensley adopted greatgrandchildren Sarah, Bradley, Brian and Rachael Hensley, all of Ingram.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Ingram.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp
