Margaret Burgess

Kerrville Margaret Mary OBrien Hall Burgess, 77, passed from this life at her home on Saturday, September 10, 2011.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 14, 1933, she was the daughter of George W. and Catherine C. McGrail OBrien. She had lived in Philadelphia for 26 years but always considered it home.

Mrs. Burgess worked for Peterson Home Care in Kerrville as a receptionist. While in Philadelphia, she was an airline stewardess.

A lady of great faith, she was a communicant of Notre Dame Catholic Church and volunteered at the church fair every year. She would also volunteer at the Rapheal Clinic.

She loved to dance and was a member of the Kerrville Kicking Cloggers. She loved spending time at the beach.

Margaret had an incredible outlook on life even until Saturday.

Every chance she got, she would venture back to Philadelphia and watch the Mummers perform and would strut right along with them.

She is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Donald R. Burgess.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children, Maureen Lewis and her husband, Dan, of Divide, CO, Elise Aguirre and her husband, Buzzie, of Kerrville, Thomas Hall of Big Lake, TX, Bill Hall of Big Lake, TX and Richard Hall and his wife, Maribel, of Kerrville 10 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren a sister, Anne Marie Kelly of Philadelphia a sisterinlaw, Eleanore OBrien of Philadelphia, and her lifelong friend and former husband, Richard W. Hall of Kerrville.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of her life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 1PM.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to Sacred Heart Church, Camden, NJ.
