Kerrville By grace and faith alone, Lynn Penny E. Maxson was welcomed home by her heavenly father on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at a local care center.Born to Leo Maxson, Jr. Elaine Kieschnick Maxson, November 28, 1953 in San Antonio, TX, Penny spread her special joy around the world as she traveled with her Air Force family, until they retired to Kerrville in 1975.Penny was a graduate of Tivy High School, Special Education Department. She retired from Conlees School of Cosmetology after 19 years of service. She was one of the original clients of Kerrvilles Special Opportunity Center and enjoyed all these many years with them. Penny also earned many Special Olympian honors in track, swimming and bowling.Special fun times for Penny were celebrations with her Holy Cross family, shopping, eating out, rummage sales, vacation trips and always, always giving hugs and high fives to all.Preceding Penny to glory were her father, Leo Maxson, Jr grandfather and grandmother, Sam and Frieda Kieschnick, Sr. and Leo Maxson Sr. and Effie Belfeuil uncles, Sam Kieschnick, and Floyd Kieschnick aunts, Georgia Tousey and Uryth Wickman.Having been blessed by her unconditional love are surviving family and friends her mother, Elaine Maxson sister, Candace Amsrud brother, Robert Maxson, all of Kerrville, TX nephews, Todd Amsrud, of Wausau, WI and Chad Amsrud, of Milwaukee, WI aunts, Anna Kieschnick, of San Antonio, TX and Laverne Kieschnick, of Kingsland, TX grand nephews, Zach, Noah and Cade Amsrud, of Wausau, WI. Special friends, Gladys, Bill and Mike King, Kerrville, TX and Matt Bode, of Kerrville, TX. Many special cousins, in Wisconsin and Texas, along with her church family. Special thanks to the exceptionally loving staff at the Special Opportunity Center, Plaza on the River, Kerrville EMTs, Peterson Hospice, TriCounty Home Health, and Hilltop Village. Pennys family is forever grateful we were allowed to trust her to your care.Thank you Penny for blessing us all with your life, laughter, hugs and love. See ya in a bit.Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Snyder officiating. ation will be held from 6 8 PM, Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Kerrville Funeral Home.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
