Lynn Coffee Loggie,80 of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 12, 2022. She was born February 6,1942 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents, John and Dorothy Learned Coffee.
Lynn Coffee Loggie, affectionately known as "Honey", lived a vibrant life dedicated to the service of others. Lynn grew up in Houston with her parents and two brothers.
She was an avid horse rider, and ballet dancer with dreams of being a dancer in New York City. She attended St. Johns in Houston. She went on to attend Bennet College and finished her degree at the University of Texas at Austin. She was a dedicated member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Lynn married Chipper on July 3, 1965. Together they lived a full life with their 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Lynn and Chipper lived all over the world, including Kingsville, Texas; Houston, Texas; Abu Dhabi, UAE; Stavanger, Norway; London, England; Midland, Texas; and Anchorage, Alaska before retiring in Kerrville, Texas and later becoming part-time summer residents at their lake house in Reading, Michigan.
She lived a life dedicated to serving others. She was a middle school teacher, president of Junior League, volunteer for Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority alumnae council, served as panhellenic alumnae council president.
She was an artist and loved to paint the world around her in bright bold colors. She was an avid reader and storyteller. She loved cheering on the Rice Owls baseball team alongside her husband. She was a loving mother and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and service.
She is proceeded in death by her parents John and Dorothy Coffee and her brother John Coffee Jr.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her loving husband of 57 years Charles "Chipper" Loggie, her brother Stephen Coffee, her daughter Dorothy Lynn Connell and her husband Donald Ammon Connell, her sons Charles Basham Loggie, John Coffee Loggie and his wife Jeanne Myers Loggie, her grandchildren Caitlyn Mary Connell, Allie Wheatley Loggie, Parker Jean Connell, Hailey Ann Connell, Sam Coffee Loggie, Olivia Briggs Loggie, and Eleanor Basham Loggie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, December 22,2022 at Kerrville Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
