Custer, 86, passed from this life on Saturday morning, October 18, 2008 at a local health care facility.nbspBorn in Tynan, TX on July 30, 1922, she was the daughter of Robert Gus and Janie Carolina Ewald Herzog.nbsp She had lived in Junction for many years, coming from the Sinton area.nbspMrs.Custer worked for 12 years at the San Patricio Court House in the snack bar.nbspShe loved crocheting, making quilts, gardening and was an excellent cook.nbspShe was predeceased by her parents, 9 siblings and a grandson.nbspMrs. Custer is survived by her husband, John D. J.D. Custer of Junction 2 daughters, Marie Hesseltine of Sinton, TX and Mary Dobson of Nordheim, TX a son, Robert C. of Sinton 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren 2 sisters, Dorothy Rupert and Floralee Marshall and many nieces and nephews.nbspThere will be no visitation.nbspGraveside services will be held in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Skidmore, TX on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 2:00PM.nbspIn lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.nbsp
