Kerrville Louise Roberts Surber Taylor, 76, of Kerrville, passed from this life and went to meet her Lord on June 4, 2011.

Born on August 17, 1934 in San Antonio, TX she was the daughter of James Carlton and Willie Menefe Goforth Roberts. She had been a resident of Kerrville since 1998, coming here from San Antonio.

Mrs. Taylor retired as a bookkeeper from the Harlandale ISD in San Antonio.

A woman of great faith in God, she was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville and served with the United Methodist Women for many years.

She was also a member of the DAR Daughters of the American Revolution, the DRT Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and the Hill Country Fourth Day Emmaus Community.

She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Jay Seth Taylor.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children, son, Steven Surber of Kerrville, daughter, Cindi Smith of Kerrville, son, Richard Surber of Kerrville, daughter, Brenda Taylor of Kosse, TX, daughter, Suzanne Shefield of San Angelo, TX and daughter, Leanne Wise of San Antonio 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

ation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 57PM.

A celebration of her life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville, 321 Thompson Dr, Kerrville, on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 10AM, with committal services following at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio at 1:45PM.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the Childrens Ark of the First United Methodist Church.
