Louis R. Fuhn, 94, of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully on June 14, 2006 at his residence.Mr. Fuhn was born December 16, 1911 to Ludwig and Susie Fuhn in New York, NY. He served his country in the U.S Coast Guard as a Specialist First Class where he received a Commendation Award. He married Edith Puggelli Fuhn on November 26, 1937 in Pleasantville, NY. He lived in Pleasantville until 1960, where he worked for the Pleasantville Police Department as a patrolman and retired as acting chief after twenty five years. He also volunteered for the Pleasantville Fire Department. He attended the Taubs School of watch and jewelry repair, and proved to be very skilled and well known for his watch repair. In 1960, Louis and Edith moved to Tuscon, Arizona and opened a jewelry and watch repair shop. They moved to Kerrville in June 1978. He loved animals, and was a marvelous husband and father. He was an all around good man who loved helping and giving to others. He will be missed by his wife, daughter, and the many friends he has made in the Hill Country. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Edith Fuhn and daughter, Suzanne Johnson of Gardnerville, Nevada.Graveside services with military honors will be held 2:15PM, Monday, June 19, 2006 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Rev.
