Louis Diaz

Louis William Diaz, age 87, of Georgetown passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at a Georgetown nursing center. He was born in Maywood, IL on October 29, 1914 to Constantino Diaz and Daniela Torano Diaz. Memorial services will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg, TX on Friday, July 26, 2002 at 10 am.Mr. Diaz attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned his degree in accounting. He worked as a CPA with Wholesome Bakery and Tammy Ammy Trail Ways for many years before retiring to Kerrville. Mr. Diaz had a strong interest in genealogy and did extensive research on both his and his wifes families. He enjoyed gardening and fixing things to beautify his home and yard. Mr. Diaz found a new interest and really enjoyed learning to operate a computer. Over the years, he lived in Florida, Texas and Oklahoma and developed a love for the west.Mr. Diaz is survived by two daughters: Sandra Irma Almengual and husband Tony of Tampa, FL, Barbara L. Wiggins and husband Larry also of Tampa, FL a son Louis W. Diaz, Jr. and wife Yolanda of Mesa, AZ two sisters Margaret Goodyear of Berkley, CA and Mary Verdier of Los Angeles, CA a brother Bernard Diaz of Los Angeles, CA four stepdaughters Amy Randall and husband James of Round Rock, TX, Cindy Eppard of Kansas City, MS, Ellen Michael and husband Steve of St. Louis, MS, and Melissa Budden and husband Phil of England six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
