Lorraine M. Thompson, 91, of Mountain Home, Texas passed from this life on February 11, 2014 at a local care facility.
A woman of poise and grace, Ms. Thompson met whatever life had to offer comforted by a strong belief in God. This belief is expressed in the prayer of encouragement that was recited daily with her daughter, Terri Novit.
The Light of God surrounds us, the Love of God enfolds us, the Power of God protects us, and the Presence of God watches over us.
Ms. Thompson and Terri shared more than just a simple prayer together, but also many adventures in life including travel, music, and much laughter. She passed peacefully holding the hand of the woman who was both her daughter and her friend.
Ms. Thompson is preceded in death by her husband, George Thompson, her son, David Thompson, and by her companion of twentyfour years, Frank Wolinski.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her daughter Terri Novit, her community of friends in Mountain Home, and the residents and staff at Plaza on the River in Kerrville.
The family would like to thank the staff of Plaza on the River and Peterson Hospice for their love and care of Ms. Thompson throughout this final chapter of her life.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kerrville Funeral Home. 830 8955111
