Lorene Guidry

Lorene Williams Guidry, 87, of Center Point, TX passed from this life on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at a local hospital in Kerrville, TX. Lorene was born June 27, 1927 in Athens, TX to loving parents, James and Mamie Williams.

Lorene married the love of her life and friend, Curtis Joseph Guidry on May 1, 1949. They made their home in Winnie, TX. After having two children, Curtis and June, the family made their way to Kerrville by way of Eudora, Arkansas and Yuma, Arizona. Shortly after losing her beloved husband Curtis, Lorene attended Angelo State University where she obtained her certification as a Registered Nurse at age 50. Lorene worked at the Kerrville State Hospital until her retirement. Lorene loved oil painting and especially enjoyed painting the Texas Hill Country landscape.

Lorene is preceded in death by her father, James Williams mother, Mamie Lee Grooms Williams her husband, Curtis Joseph Guidry.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, Curtis Joseph Guidry Jr. and wife Sandra of Branch, LA daughter, June Guidry Bellair and husband Lee of Center Point, TX granddaughters, Monica Guidry of Baton Rouge, LA., Nichole Guidry of Branch, LA., Jolea Bellair Butler and husband Shayne of Helotes, TX., Michelle Guidry of Branch, LA. great grandchildren, Christopher Savoy and Payten Rafal of Branch, LA.

There will be a time of reflection and visitation on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 5 7 PM with Funeral Services held on at 10 AM, Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028.

There will also be visitation from 5 7 PM on Friday, December 5, 2014 from at Broussards Mortuary, Winnie, TX. Graveside Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie, TX.
