Lorene Bialkowski

Lorene Johnston Raney Bialkowski, 91, long time resident of Kerrville, TX entered into rest on Feb. 13, 2004 at a local care facility.Mrs. Bialkowski was born in Bandera, TX on June 11, 1912 to Magnes F. Johnston and Katherine Riley. Her father was a building contractor of the St. Stanliaus Catholic Church and the old Bandera School. She was the youngest of the family of seven, two boys and five girls, who grew up in Bandera and San Antonio, and was the last of this family. She was married in 1936 to Walter M. Raney in San Antonio, TX. He preceded her in death in 1976. Walter and Lorene Raney owned and operated the Raney Valley Store in Ingram, TX from 1949 to 1970. Later she worked for El Buzon Boutique until 1983. She was married to Joseph A. Bialkowski on Feb. 26, 1983 in Kerrville, TX. He also preceded her in death. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Collene Raney Tom, a granddaughter, Cathy White, and two great grandsons, Dustin and Dylan White.
