Loraine William Robbie Robbins, 73, born in Larned, Kansas, December 11, 1929 and entered into his new life with our Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2003.He is survived in this life by Lois, his wife of 45 years, his sister Sandra Sue Ewing of Dallas, Texas, Daughters: Gail McBride and Sherry Haefs, Sons: George Morgan and Russ Robbins, and 8 grandchildren, and 13 GreatGrandchildren.Robbie joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and served a 27 year tour of duty which included the Philippines, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. During that period he received 2 Purple Hearts, and numerous valor medals.Following his retirement, Robbie dedicated the next 31 years as a purchasing agent for both Corpus Christi National and Frost Banks of Texas. But his biggest dedication was to his church and charity. He served many years as Elder of the First Christian Church of Corpus Christi, and deacon at First Christian Church of Kerrville.Robbie was equally proud of his membership with the Shriners, the VFW, the American Legion, and the Masonic Lodge.ation will be 6:008:00pm Saturday, July 5, 2003 at Kerrville Funeral Home 1221 Junction Hwy. Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be 1:30pm Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
