Lonnie Peek

Center Point Lonnie O. Peek, 76, of Center Point, passed from this life at his home on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

Born in Kent County, TX on December 11, 1933, he was the son of Daniel Boone and Lois Burrow Peek.

He served in the US Army.

Mr. Peek worked as a drywall installer in the Kerrville area for many years.

He loved to dance, and fish. He also enjoyed gardening and barbequing with his family and friends.

Mr. Peek spent time traveling and going to casinos where he loved to gamble.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Mr. Peek was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Sonny Peek and Bobby Peek and a sister, Betty Wilson.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife of almost 43 years, Myrna J. Wyatt Peek of Center Point his children, Joe Vance of Wimberly, TX, Barbara Crofts of Fairview, TX, Sarah Condon of College Station, TX, Lonnell Hanks of Kerrville, TX, Jimmy Peek of Kerrville, TX, Connie Echols of Ingleside, TX, Donnie Overstreet of Center Point, Lester Overstreet of Center Point 35 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren his sisters, Dorothy Shields of Odessa, TX and Leona Cox of Ft. Worth, TX, severan nieces and nephews and his precious Hootie.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home Main Chapel on Friday evening, February 19, 2010 at 6:00PM.

The family suggests that donations in his name be made to the American Lung Association.
