Kerrville Lois Levering of Kerrville, TX, formerly of Sioux City IA, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at a local care facility after a lengthy illness. She was born in Sioux City on September 19, 1918 to Paul and Hazel Rochester McKelvey. After marrying Richard Levering on April 30, 1955 in Sioux City Iowa, they were stationed several years in Germany and at other Army facilities in the U.S. They retired in San Antonio, TX and remained there for the next 35 years. She is survived by daughter LaVonne Feauto and husband Earl of Kerrville, TX grandsons, Rick Nearman and wife Sara, Marc Nearman and wife Heather, all of Sioux City, IA granddaughter Amy Hardin and husband Dean of San Antonio, TX step granddaughters, Kris Feauto of Lincoln, NE, and Jackie Wagner of Tekamah NE step grandson Jerry Feauto and wife Donna of Des Moines IA brother, Glen Houts and wife Sharon of North Sioux City, SD sister, Clara Mead and husband Ted of Mesa, AZ sister in law, Pat McKelvey of Keifer, OK. 20 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and a host of many loving friends and neighbors.She is preceded in death by husband, Richard Levering, sisters Pauline Fink and Etta Solomon, brothers Bob and Vernon McKelvey.Memorial services will be held at the Riverside Lutheran Church, Thursday December 27, 2007 at 11 A.M. with nephew Rev. Glen Houts officiating.In lieu of floral tributes memorials may be made in her name to the Siouxland Hospice or Vista Care Hospice in Kerrville, Texas.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
