Lois Goodpasture

KERRVILLE Lois Bernadine Dagle Goodpasture, 84, of Kerrville, Texas peacefully went to walk with the Lord on December 1, 2012 at Peterson Medical Plaza surrounded by her loving family.
Lois was born March 7, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa to Jeanette Floden and Delbert Dagle. Lois was raised in Des Moines, IA attending Lincoln High School. Lois met her truelove, Bob, while working at the munitions factory in Ankeny, IA. They were married on September 7, 1946 and settled in Des Moines to raise their 5 children. Family was the center of her life. She loved having family gatherings and making every holiday special at Grandmas house. Lois specialized in making everyone in her life feel special, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Mom touched the lives of many and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Lois enjoyed dancing, camping, and traveling. After working for 15 years for the Des Moines Independent School District, in the Fall of 1986, Bob and Lois set off on an their retirement adventure moving to Arizona. They enjoyed spending their summers in Yellowstone National Park working for Hamilton Stores before eventually settling in Kerrville, TX in 1996.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her sister, and a grandson, Martin Travis Grindle.

Lois is survived by her loving husband, Robert Bob Goodpasture her children: Carol Bob Beers, Oceanside, CA Tom Jan Goodpasture, Steamboat Springs, CO Sally Mike Bauman, Rockwall, TX Susan Rich Werth, DeSoto, TX and Janet Jerry Crabb, Chariton, IA 12 grandchildren, and 15 greatgrandchildren.

ation will be at the Kerrville Funeral Home Monday, December 3 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 4 at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Don Rauhut. Lois will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Garden in Des Moines, IA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 624 Barnett Street, Kerrville, TX 78028.
