Lois Bailey

KERRVILLE - Lois Gertrude Bailey, 86, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015. She had been a resident of River Hills Health and Rehab Center at the time of her death.

Lois was born March 26, 1929 in Huntington, Indiana to parents Edmund and Marie (Kolenburg) Harrison. Her two siblings were brother, Carl and sister, Helen; all of whom have preceded her in death. Lois married John Walter Bailey on February 7, 1948. Lois and John were married for 34 years until John's passing in 1981. In the year 1997, Lois relocated from Huntington, Indiana to Kerrville, Texas. She was a devout Christian who loved and followed the Lord.

She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, where she helped as a sacristan for Mass services. Lois loved dogs, especially Brutus and her beloved Shelby. She also had a love for skydiving. On her 70th, and again on her 81st birthday, Lois was able to live the skydiving experience.

She is survived by daughters, Helen Starkey (Chuck) of Marshall, Michigan, Joyce Lozano (Reyes) of Kerrville, Texas; son, Dennis Bailey of Kerrville, Texas; five grandchildren, Corey, Holly and Sean Brumbaugh, John and Bradley McClellan; and four great-grandchildren, Ariana, Jalen and Josh Brumbaugh and Jackson McClellan.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 6:00 PM, Thursday November 5, 2015 at Kerrville Funeral Home with visitation to follow.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 10:00 AM, Friday, November 6, 2015 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Scott Janesek as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
