Lloyd Gregory

KERRVILLE - Lloyd Darcy Gregory, 84, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on May 7, 2016 at a local facility.
Lloyd was born December 28, 1931 to Howard and Mabel (Smith) Gregory in Maloy, Iowa. He married, Gertrud Schmidt, January 12, 1955, in Neu-Isenburg, Germany. Lloyd retired from the US Air Force, where he served as a Master Sergeant in the Security Police. He then began his second career with the United States Postal Service in Boone, Iowa retiring after 23 years. Lloyd enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards with friends and family and classic country music.

Lloyd is preceded in death by a son Donald R. Gregory.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Trudy; daughter Linda Nelson and her husband Kim; 5 grandchildren Heidi Nelson, Melissa Bennett and husband, Kyle, Travis and significant other, Chelsy Stevens, Don Gregory, Jr and wife Abbie, and Amber Gregory; 13 great grandchildren, Brittany, Corey, Hanna, Blake, Bradley, Jon , Jeremiah , Bevin, Briley, Colten, Carter, Tanner and Gracie; and 2 great-great- grandsons Wyatt and Wesley; sisters, Lois Blocker and Millie Logue.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel Iowa.
