Linda Kathryn Heath, 73, of Kerrville, passed peacefully from this life on January 17, 2015 at a local hospital. Jesus Christ is her Lord and Savior.
Linda was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 4, 1941, the daughter of Mary Frances and Harold H. Fletcher. She attended Arlington Heights High School and Arlington Heights United Methodist Church in Fort Worth where she met Lafayette Adair (Sonny) Heath, Jr. She and Sonny married on November 12, 1960. Linda attended North Texas State University where she received her education degree and later achieved her Masters in Education at Sul Ross State University. As a professional, Linda was an elementary school teacher in the Monahans Wickett Pyote ISD and the West Texas Children's Home, retiring after 27 years of service and helping thousands of students. Contributing to her community and faith, she served as the piano player for Sunday services at both the Pyote and Wickett Methodist churches. Linda enjoyed painting, music, travel and her participation in the Zane Grey's West Literary Society with Sonny. Linda also greatly enjoyed playing in the handbell choir at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Kerrville. Linda especially enjoyed the views of the Texas Hill country and the deer outside their Kerrville home. She was a loving Wife and Mother.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Harold H. Fletcher, mother, Mary Frances Terry and a brother, Kenneth Fletcher.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Sonny Heath of Kerrville, a sister, Susan Bathish of Arlington, Texas, son, Steven Heath of Houston, Texas, daughter, Shelley Heath of Shorewood, Wisconsin, son, Troy Heath of Washington, New Jersey, six grandchildren, Tamra Renee, Shane Adair, Dylan Frank, Zachary Alan, Kathryn Paige and Olivia Frances.
A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Kerrville, TX.
