Lillian Meier

Lillian Margaret Meier, 81, of Kerrville, TX entered into rest February 16, 2004 at a local hospital.Mrs. Meier was born June 13, 1922 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Homer and Ottillie Meeker. She worked for General Electric from 19421943. She graduated from Indiana University in 1946, and worked in their bacteriology department from 19461948. She married Fred Meier on June 13, 1948 and they were together 54 years before his death. She lived in Decatur, Indiana and Plymouth, Michigan, and worked at Plymouth State Home and Training School, and Botsford General Hospital. In 1986 she and her husband moved to Kerrville. She was an avid needle pointer, who made beautiful tapestries, pictures and pillows with skill and precision. She stayed true to her Alma Mater, Indiana University, and loved to listen to their basketball games. She loved history, politics, and playing bridge with her many friends. You made a grand slam momShe is survived by a son, Lyle Meier of Houston a daughter, Kathleen Hedemann of Albuquerque, NM grandchildren, Stephen Hedemann of Austin, Laura Hedemann of Albuquerque, NM, and Erin Hedemann of Albuquerque, NM.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
