Ingram Leroy Gus Fuchs, 66, of Ingram, TX, passed peacefully on Thursday August 28, 2014 in Kerrville, TX. Leroy was born March 13, 1948, in Brenham ,TX to Robert G. and Celesta M. Fuchs.

He graduated from Brenham High School. His dedication to commitment was evident in his 30 years of work at Steadley Springs Company where he was recognized as having never missed a day of work. Upon retirement in 1999, he moved to Ingram and began volunteering at Kerr Wildlife Management Area and later at The Hill Country Youth Ranch Thrift Store.

He was long time member of Hunt UMC where he served as an Usher and Greeter weekly. He enjoyed observing nature, hunting, and fishing. A friend said, He didnt talk very much, but if you paid attention you could learn a lot from Leroy. Family and friends will long remember Leroy for his sweet spirit, ever ready smile, and unwavering dependability

Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Fuchs and mother, Celesta M. Fuchs paternal grandparents, Robert A. Fuchs and Martha Jaroszewski Fuchs maternal grandparents, Gus Christian Fischer and Ella Holt Fischer.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his brother, Eugene R. Fuchs sisterinlaw, Emily G. Fuchs nephew, Stephen W. Fuchs and wife Melissa along with their children, Audrey and Emily Fuchs niece, Ginger E. Meadows, and husband Chad, along with their children, Clayton, Sarah, Braiden, and Sterling Meadows.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Hunt United Methodist Church, Hunt, TX.

Interment will be 11 AM Saturday, September 6, at Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham, TX.

Pall Bearers are personal friends from Kerr Wildlife Management Area Paul Simone Jr., Fernando Gutierrez, Donnie Frels, Lisa Wolle, Evan McCoy, Justin Foster, Ryan Reitz, and Bjorn Palm.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made to Hunt United Methodist Church.
