Lera Johnson

Lera Johnson, age 93, of Boerne passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at a care center in Boerne. She was born December 22, 1908 to Ray Allen Walters and Lizzie May Lawrence Walters in Hazen, Arkansas.After graduating high school, Lera went to Nursing School and was a nurse for a railroad company before entering a career in nursing home care. She was an active member of the Audubon Baptist Church in Henderson, TN, singing in the choir and playing the piano.Mrs. Johnson is survived by a daughter, Mary Beauguard of Nashville, TN a daughterinlaw, Peggy Flynn of San Antonio, TX, 8 grandchildren, 9 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by two sons: David and Riley Flynn, a daughter, Jayne Flynn Rone and Reverend John R. Flynn, former Pastor of Audubon Baptist Church of Henderson, TN.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be sent to wither the Head Start Project in Kansas City, MO or the Ronald McDonald House oat 4803 Sid Katz Dr. in San Antonio, TX 78229
