Leo Laushman, Sr.

Leo W. Laushman, Jr. 77, of Kerrville, Texas entered into rest on January 17, 2006 at a local hospital.Mr. Laushman was born March 5, 1928 in Odessa, Texas to Leo and Sophia Laushman. He grew up in Seymour in west Texas. He married Dorothy Dean Bailey in 1961 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2004. He moved to Kerrville in 1976, and owned and operated Double L Pest Control for over ten years. He attended Notre Dame Catholic Church, the chapel at the VA hospital, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comfort. He loved giving to others and donated to many charities. He enjoyed recording old music, movies, and especially radio programs. He is preceded in death by his wife, sister, Frances Pittmass, and brother, John Maushman.He is survived by his son, Leo Laushman, III of Kerrville daughter, Jimmie Blackwell and husband, Chuck of Kerrville son, Thomas Ray Hays of Marietta, Oklahoma sisters, Mary Davis of Umitilla, FL, and Helen Morrow of Junction, TX grandchildren, T.R. Hays, Alex Hays, Dena Blackwell, and Tara Blackwell.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edward Haspany officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled.Memorials may be made to the Christian Childrens Fund, 2821 Emerywood Pkwy., Richmond, VA 23294.
