Kerrville Leah Land Cash quietly slipped from our life on May 15, 2009, after a short illness.
She was born in Tallapoosa, Alabama on September 30, 1929 to Thomas and Geraldine Land Wiethop. Her family moved to Waco, Texas, where she spent most of her childhood.
At 22, she married a new 2ND LT, just out of college and began a marriage that lasted almost 58 wonderful and adventurous years, 27 of those years stationed throughout the US, Asia and Europe.
In 1974, the family retired to Kerrville and has enjoyed the beauty of the hill country and lasting friendships for the past 35 years.
Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her husband, James H. Cash III and a son, James H. Cash IV, and daughterinlaw, Sandra Cash.
There will be no visitation.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Peters Episcopal Church, Kerrville, on May 22, 2009 at 10AM with Rector Stockton Williams, officiating.
Leahs desire was that her friends not send floral arrangements, but simply keep her in their hearts and prayers.
The family invites you to leave a message or memory at www.kerrvillefuneralhome.com by selecting Obituaries. Select quotSign Guestbookquot at the bottom of the individual memorial.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
