Laverne Todd

Boerne Laverne A. Todd, 81, of Boerne, passed from this life on Tuesday morning, February 19, 2008.Born in Lyford, Willacy Co, TX on December 20, 1927, she was the daughter of Gus and Maryann Johnson Nyquist. She had lived in Kerrville for 14 years before moving to Boerne.Mrs. Todd was a secretary at the Courthouse in Raymondville TX.She and her husband were married for 61 years. Together they traveled and were very active in church. In Kerrville, she was active in the First United Methodist Church and in the United Methodist Womens Group.Mrs. Todd is survived by her husband, Alvin F. Todd of Comfort 2 daughters, Karen Sue Gac and her husband Jesse of San Antonio, and DAnne Tucker and her husband, Lee, of Boerne 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Vasquez of Corpus Christi, James Ordner of San Antonio, Jared Tucker of San Marcos and Megan Henry of McKinney, TX 2 great grandchildren, Lauren Vasquez of Corpus Christi and Addie Henry of McKinney a sister, Arlette Cole of Raymondville, TX 3 brothers, Larry Nyquist of Raymondville, TX, Hartwen Nyquist of Lyford, TX and Donald Nyquist of Lake Mathes, TX and many nieces and nephews.There will be no visitation.A Memorial celebration of her life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville with Rev. Dr Warren Hornung officiating. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Todd would have preferred you make charitable donations to the National Alzheimers Association.
