LaRue Morris

Kerrville, Texas LaRue B. Morris, 82, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at her residence in Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Morris was born on October 10, 1920 in Carbon, Texas to the late William Henry and Minnie I. Moore Bohannan. Mrs. Morris graduated from Carbon High School in 1938. She married Austin Bush in 1947 who is now deceased, and then married Roy Morris in 1978 who is also deceased. She was devoted Christian who was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Morris was a State of Texas employee, retiring in 1978 after 20 years of loyal service working for the Department of Transportation in the Finance Department. She has lived in Kerrville for over 25 years, coming here for retirement. Mrs. Morris had many interests, but she especially loved flower gardening. She was a member of Tierra Madre Garden Club, was active in workshops at the First United Methodist Church, an avid reader, and a member of the Kerrville Literary Club. She loved to travel, and did so worldwide with husband Roy. Mrs. Morris also loved the outdoors, and with her first husband Austin, they ranched in the Austin area for several years.Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents husbands, Austin Bush and Roy Morris brother, William Henry Bohannan, Jr. and sister, Clara Esta Nelson.Survivors include her sister, Jimmie L. Raulston and husband Fred stepson, Frank Bush stepdaughters, Jayne Sedate and husband Bernie and Patricia Sorensen and husband George many nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends and neighbors.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at 10 AM at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Warren Hornung officiating. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
