Kirby Ferrell

Kirby Ann Ferrell, 72 of Kerrville, TX passed from this life at a local hospital on Friday, 19, 2014.

Ms. Ferrell was born January 12, 1942 in Fernwood, Mississippi the daughter of Lowell and Winnie Ferrell. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington in 1973 with a Nursing Degree.

Kirby was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy from 1965 until her retirement as a Commander in 1985. During her time in the Navy she served in Vietnam and served on a Emergency Team in New Orleans during hurricane Betsy.

Ms. Ferrell loved dogs and had a passion for golf. She was loved and admired by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her sister: Nancy Kay Wilkinson and husband, Douglas, niece: Monica Ann Thibodeaux and husband, Robert, nephew: Robert Hair and wife, Amy Sartor, great nephews: Colby Wilkinson, Jonathan Willemin and great niece Dallas Wilkinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Patricia Lynn Ferrell, niece: Cindy Wilkinson and a nephew: Kirby Wilkinson.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date in McComb, Mississippi with the interment to follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
