Kerrville Mr. Kelly W. Morgan Sr, 92, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Wednesday morning, April 22, 2009.

Born on May 3, 1916, he was the son of Parker and Lillian Morgan. He was the oldest of 5 children.

After finishing high school, he attended Southeast Louisiana University, after which he pursued a trade as an electrician. Kelly met his wife, Ola Faye, and they were married in 1938 in Houston, TX.

WWII interrupted their lives as Kelly joined the Navy and served in the Pacific as an electrician onboard the USS Fairfield.

Following the war, Kelly returned home and raised 3 children and worked in his chosen trade of electrical services. He then joined Humble Oil, CO, now Exxon Mobil, Research Center in Houston.

At age 65, Kelly and Faye moved to Kerrville. They enjoyed many years of retirement here, gardening, and building 2 homes, enjoying their lives together. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Masonic Lodge. Kelly will be truly missed by his family.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Ola Faye Morgan of Kerrville his eldest son, Kelly W. Morgan Jr, of San Antonio his daughter, Darlene Morgan Peschke of Corpus Christi, TX and his youngest son, Bryan Thornton Morgan of Arlington, VA a sister, Mrs. Almedia Fredericks of West Lakes, LA 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services are pending and will be announced when they become available. In lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations may be made to Peterson Hospice.
