LEVELLAND, TEXAS -Levelland- Services for Kay Frances Boren Bowman 76, of Levelland will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at First Christian Church of Levelland with Pastor Jesse Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at Levelland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the First Christian Church.
Mrs. Bowman passed from this life Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Levelland, Texas.
Mrs. Bowman was born August 21, 1939 to Robert L. ''Bob'' and Mamie Ruth (Dawson) Boren.
She married Joe F. Bowman on September 4, 1987 in Levelland. She began a banking career in the early 60's in Denver City, Texas and retired with American State Bank in 1997 as a Vice President/Loan officer.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Levelland, was a quilter, avid seamstress, and active in various local organizations.

Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Doris Nelson and Janie Dodson; and brothers-in-law, Bob Nelson and Bobby Dodson.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include daughters, Sherri Paxton Bretz and husband, Reid of Tatum, NM, Kristi Paxton Howe and husband, Travis of Crossroads, NM, Lesli Paxton Willingham and husband, Todd of Morton, TX, Kelli Bowman Ralston and husband Rob of Round Mountain, TX and son, Jim Bowman of Huntington Beach, California; 9 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 2 great grandsons; nephews, Michael Nelson and Berry Dodson and wife Charmaigne
