After a brief illness, Kathlene Woodruff Glover left this life Thursday afternoon, June 14, 2007 to join her beloved husband, Zilmer, who preceded her in death in 1994. She was born December 7, 1918 in Rising Star, Texas, the third of five children. She married Aaron Zilmer Glover December 30, 1935 and they had 59 wonderful years together. Before moving to Kerrville, she and her husband owned and operated a popular womens clothing shop in Snyder, Texas for 30 years. During this time, she was named Woman of the Year by the American Business Womens Association. At one time she was a porcelain painter, and there are many beautiful pieces of china she has shared with family and friends, as part of her legacy. She also was a volunteer for Sid Peterson Hospital, serving as manager of the gift shop. She was a generous contributor to many charities. Her chief interest in life, however, was her family. In addition to her sister, Marjorie Barber who presently resides in Kerrville, she is survived by her daughter and soninlaw, Sally and Andy Ritch of Kerrville, son and daughterinlaw Glenna and Paul Glover of Abilene, seven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 18 at 10:30 A.M. in the Schreiner Chapel of First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Peterson Hospice, Our Lady of the Hills Regional Catholic High School, or the charity of ones choice.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp
