Kathleen Miller

Kerrville Kathleen LaRue Miller, 95, of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully on February 26, 2007 at her residence. Kathleen LaRue Miller nee Kathleen OConnor LaRue was born on September 15, 1911 in Erie, Illinois to Dr. Robert E. LaRue and Ruby H. LaRue nee OConnor. She attended school in Erie, Illinois then went on to attend Lord Belmont Finishing School in Nashville, Tennessee. She then attended Northwestern University and graduated in 1932. She married Paul H. Miller in 1932 they lived in Chicago until moving to Kerrville in 1972. She was a homemaker for all the years she was married and enjoyed cooking and entertaining. In her younger years she played the piano. She was a member of the Kerrville Garden Club and the First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Miller and her siblings, Margaret, Robert, and Ruby.She is survived by nieces, Margaret Kozel of Hemet, California and Joanne Oxen of Kingman, Arizona numerous grandnieces and nephews great grandnieces and nephews along with a host of many loving friends, neighbors and church family.ation will be held from 6 8 PM, Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville with Rev. Dr. Warren Hornung officiating. Interment will follow in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania along side her beloved husband, Paul H. Miller.In lieu of floral arrangements, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 321 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, Texas 78028.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
