Katherine Bonner-Fifer

Mrs. Katherine Bonner-Fifer was born April 26, 1924 in Waco, Texas to James and Louise Bonner. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, two brothers, Otis Bonner and Henry Bonner; her husband, Ernest Fifer; and son, James Davis.

Katherine received her education in Waco, Texas. She retired from Kerrville State Hospital with over thirty- two years of service.

She met Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Olive Baptist church where she was a faithful member for over 55 years. Katherine served in the senior choir, Eastern Stars, and the Women's Mission Union as the treasurer.

Katherine went home to glory on June 2, 2018 and leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Gwendolyn Hatter of Dallas, Texas; Earnestine Fifer-Gray (Richmond) of Desoto, Texas and Gail Fifer- Jones of Jacksonville, Florida; one son, Calvin Davis (Barbara) of Austin, Texas; two great nieces, Carolyn Clemons of Fort Worth, Texas; Barbara Ann Whiteside of Las Vegas, Nevada; two great nephews, Otis Bonner Jr. of Dallas, Texas; and Jan Bledsoe of Fort Worth, Texas and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 121 West McFarland, Kerrville, Texas 78028. A time of reflection and visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM, Friday, June 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, Kerrville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Garden of Memories North Cemetery, Kerrville, Texas.
