Katharine Dunbar

Katharine Anne Craft Dunbar, 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, May 24, 2005 in Kerrville, Texas, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Katharine was born in Smith Township, Pennsylvania on November 19, 1937 to Clifford and Eleanora Freshwater Craft. She was the oldest of twelve children. Katharine married Howard Reed Dunbar on June 19, 1957 in Cross Creek, Pennsylvania.Katharine was a loving wife and mother for 47 years, always giving to others first. Katharine loved music, animals and wildflowers. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and the Hill Country Quilt Guild. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Craft and her son, William Howard Dunbar.Katharine is survived by her loving husband, Howard Dunbar, her children, Ruth Finch and husband Randy of Corpus Christi, Susan Asel and husband Les of Houston, and James Dunbar as well as her grandchildren, Sarissa Finch, Amanda Finch, Paige Asel, and Michael Asel and mother, Eleanora Bender of Pennsylvania. Katharine was greatly loved and will be missed by many other family members and friends.Memorials may be made to Peterson Hospice, 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, Texas 78028.Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Thursday, May 26, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
