June Crain

Kerrville June B. Crain, was born on June 30, 1921 in Belvidere, NE to Joe E. Bowen and Bess M. Dill Bowen. She married Joseph R. Crain on July 25, 1962 in Pharr, TX. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.She was a teacher in the Falls Church City Public Schools in Falls Church, Virginia, retiring after 20 years of service to education. Being community minded she was a member of various organizations and the Antioch Christian Church in Vienna, VA.Mrs. Crain and her husband moved to Kerrville in 1990 and became members of the First Christian Church. June sang in the Church Choir and participated in many church activities.She is survived by two stepchildren, Joseph H. Crain and wife Clair of Charlotteville, VA and Lynne Lanier and husband Josh of Statesboro, GA two brothers, J. Donald Bowen and wife Jeanne of Dayton, OH and M. Dean Bowen and wife Marion of Corpus Christi, TX one sister, Mary A. Coulter and husband Jim of Kerrville, TX several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her extended church family along with many loving friends and neighbors.Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at First Christian Church, 1900 Goat Creek Parkway, Kerrville, Texas with Rev. Arlie Lammers officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Tennesse.In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be made to the M.D. Anderson Hospital, MDS Research, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
