Julie Neely

KERRVILLE - Julie B. Neely, 89, of Kerrville, Texas passed peacefully from this life on October 12, 2015 at her home in Kerrville. Julie was born July 14, 1926 to Julius and Sophie (Matula) Neumann.

Julie was born and raised in Hallettsville, TX. She married Samuel O. Neely on June 19, 1947 in Cuero, TX. Julie worked a multitude of jobs in Kerrville, which included, a meat wrapper at Piggly Wiggly, Food City and Bernharts. She worked as cook for 15 years at La Hacienda and was a care giver from many people in need. Julie had a strong faith and passion for cooking and helping others. Many kids were fed and sheltered and Sam and Julie's home. Julie was loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed deeply.

Those who passed before her include her parents, Julius and Sophie Neumann; husband, Samuel O. Neely; son, Ronald Neely Sr.; brother, Julius Neumann and sister, Bana Jares.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include her sister, Lillie Aldis; sons, David Neely and Hobby Neely; daughter, Barbara Anderson; grandsons, Justin Neely, Ronald Neely Jr., Alexander Rasche, D.J. Davis, Nathan Wuest; granddaughters, Amie Neely, Echo Wuest along with a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028.

Funeral Services will be held in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028 at 1 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2015. Interment will follow be held at 10 AM on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Glen Rest Cemetery, Kerrville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that all donations be made St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Julie's name.
