Juanita Vargas

Kerrville Juanita G. Vargas, 88, beloved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, went to her rest on Friday, February 25, 2011 at a local health care facility.

Born on February 14, 1924, she was the daughter of Hijinio and Marciana Garcia.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother and friend, she will be forever loved and dearly missed.

Juanita fell asleep in death as one of Jehovahs Witnesses, with her firm belief in Jesus words at John II 25,26 quotI am the resurrection and the life, He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life and everyone that everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Exiquio, Francisco quotPanchoquot, Evodio Garcia and Frank Juarez her sisters, Luisa Ayala and Chita DeAnda.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children, Diana Wood, Henry Vargas, Sylvia Vargas, Estella Rowan and Vanessa Bradshaw, and her sister, Susie Portillo of Monroe, MI. She was also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 7 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will always be grateful to the doctors and nurses on 3West at Peterson Regional Medical Center, the wonderful, loving care she received by everyone at Plaza On The River, and the care and support given to mom and us at a very difficult time by Peterson Hospice.

A very special thanks to the love and care given to her at home by her devoted niece, Beatrice Leal, Dee Smith, Maria Chapa, Diana Roark and Cecilia Preece.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Ranchero Rd. Kerrville, TX.
