KERRVILLE Juan Antonio quotTonyquot Valdez, Jr, 58, a beloved father, grandfather and brother, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Kerrville on December 2, 1952, he was the son of Juan and Evangelina Rodriguez Valdez, Sr and was a lifelong resident of Kerrville.

A true gentleman, a man of integrity, Tony was always kind and considerate of others and will be missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ramona Valdez and a son, Bobby Valdez.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his brothers, Joe Valdez of Kerrville and David Valdez of Pearland, TX his sisters, Olga Ramirez of Kerrville, Christina Valdez of Albuquerque, NM, Hope Valdez of Austin, TX and Erlinda Valdez of Albuquerque, NM his sons, Tony and Joey Valdez of Kerrville his grandsons and granddaughters and many nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be no visitation.

A celebration of his life will be held at Impact Christian Fellowship on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10AM. Committal services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Kerrville.

The family suggests that donations in his name be made to Impact Christian Fellowship.
