Juan Cardona

KERRVILLE - Juan Cardona, 71, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on Tuesday, May 05, 2015 at a local hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Juan was born December 27, 1943 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Marcos Cardona and Antonia Reyes.

Juan grew up in San Jose de laisla Zacatecas, Mexico before moving to the Hill Country in 1969. He was a ranch hand for many years and began working for Marie M. Peterson in 1972 until her death in October of 2005. He was a loving husband, great father, grandfather and brother. Juan was honest, hardworking and loved his family. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcos and Antonia Cardona; sister, Angela Cardona and brothers, Emilo and Jesus Cardona.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Cruzita Hernandez; children, Daniel Cardona, Herminia Cardona, Maria De Jesus Cardona, Jose Luis Cardona, Juan Angel Cardona, Eliva Cardona; brothers, Celso, Francisco, Jose, Eregorio; sisters, Teresa, Antonia, Atanacia; step children, Andrea Vela, Henry Cervantes and Rob Cervantes.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 6 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, May 11, 2015 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
