Joseph Pestana

Kerrville Joseph F. Pestana, 57, of Kerrville, passed from this life at his home on Monday, April 5, 2010.
Born in Honolulu, HI on April 16, 1952, the son of Joseph F. Pestana Jr. and Margaret Pestana.. He had been a resident of Kerrville for many years.
Joe served overseas in the Vietnam War in the US Air Force from 19741977. He worked as a postman for the US Postal Service for over 20 years.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughters, Julie Pestana of Harper, Lisa Bell of Kenedy, TX and Sandra Vaughn of OK his brothers and sisters, Patrick of TX, Victor of HI, Joanne Pestana Lewis of HI, Jeanne Pestana Clark of VA and Wayne of HI, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
There will be no visitation.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home Main Chapel on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 2:00PM with Rev Sam Ligon officiating. Private committal services will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.
The family suggest that donations in his name be sent to the Julie Pestana Education Fund, co Kerr County Federal Credit Union, Kerrville, TX, 78028 or to Security State Bank, to the Joseph Pestana Fund.
