Joseph Freeman

Kerrville, Texas Joseph Paul Freeman, 74, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life peacefully on September 21, 2003 in a San Antonio hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Freeman was born in Cambridge MA. on October 3, 1928 to his parents, Elmer and Eleanor OConner Freeman.He was married to Joyce Marion Tessmer, his wife of 56 years on June 6, 1947. Before marriage Joe served in the United States Army during World War II. Returning from the war they were married and moved to Tampa, Florida and he attended the University of Tampa. They lived in the Houston area for many years before retiring to Kerrville in 1983. Mr. Freeman was an avid golfer, and enjoyed feeding his deer. He will always be remembered in our hearts and prayers.His loving family includes his wife, Joyce Marion Tessmer Freeman two sons, Joseph Paul Freeman, Jr. and wife Suzy, and Kevin Richard Freeman grandchildren, William Joseph Freeman, Shawn Michael Freeman, Lance Speck and wife Cindy, Nicole Rasch and husband Bill, Jonathan Richard Freeman brother, Charles Richard Freeman and wife Joan cousin, Nancy Brand and husband Richard three nephews, Mark, Dennis, Paul Freeman and their spouses: greatgrandchildren, Zoey and Suzannah Rasch and host of loving friends, fellow golfers, and neighbors.Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2003 at 4 PM at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mike Boulette officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
