Kerrville Jose G. Joey Lopez , 53, of Kerrville , TX, passed from this life on Monday, October 28, 2013 in Kerrville.

Joey was born on July 7, 1960 to Esther Perez in Detroit MI where he also grew up. In 1986, Joey moved to Kerrville where he had several jobs and received his GED. He met Carolina Gonzalez and they were married on March 25, 1989 at the Salvation Army in Kerrville. Joey was employed by Kerrville State Hospital where he became a PNA for 25 years until he became ill with numerous health issues in October 2012. He enjoyed sports and was a 1 fan for the Detroit Lions. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Joey was a great friend to many who knew him and a loving father and husband. He will be greatly missed.

Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Perez daughter, Danielle Nicole Lopez and nephew, Steven Gonzalez.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Carolina Lopez daughters, Natalie Lopez, Josephine Lopez, Maggie Lopez, sisters Irene Rivera, Sylvia San Miguel, Joann, Judy, Ruby, Delia the Gonzalez family, brother Robert Perez, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, November 4, 2013 in the main chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, TX. 78028. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Cemetery. ation will be held 46:00 PM Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Kerrville Funeral Home.
