KERRVILLE-John W. Silberisen, 79, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, at his home in Kerrville, Texas. He was a warm and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son and friend.

Mr. Silberisen was born September 21, 1935 in Rockport, Texas, the son of James and Ozelle Silberisen. He married Jo Ann Fraser on December 25, 1957 in Cuero, Texas. John attended Shriner University in 1955-56 and completed his education at Texas A & M University, Kingsville, TX with a degree in Business Administration. He worked for Hunt Energy Corporation for 30 years.

He and his wife retired to Kerrville, Texas in 1993. Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Jo Ann Silberisen; three daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Larry Horne, Susan Silberisen and Ken Baer, and Sandra and Mike Fuller; seven grandchildren, Daniel Woodward, Dr. Summer Quirsfeld, Sabra Woodward, Taryn Houston, Camille Fuller, Gaby Fuller, and Nathan Fuller; and two great-grandchildren, Jillian Houston and Emma Jo Quirsfeld. He is survived by two sisters; Dorothy Wallace and Martha Tanner.

The family is a holding a small, private service at John's favorite spot on Redfish Bay in Rockport, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 800 Jackson Rd, Kerrville, TX under John Silberisen Memorial Gift (TBC Short term mission) or the Pederson Hospital Hospice in Kerrville TX
