John Klingemann

Kerrville ndash John H. Klingemann, 87, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008 at his residence in Kerrville. Born January 13, 1921 in Hays County, son of Sidney and Amanda Klingemann, John grew up in Hays and Travis Counties and graduated from Austin High School in 1938. In 1943, the Navy sent him to Kerrville VA Hospital. In Kerrville, he met and married Grace Virginia Goss. Mr. Klingemann had two thirtyyear careers in Kerrville, first as coowner of VK Service Garage with L.W. Vanzandt, then as a broker with John McCollom Realty. Mr. Klingemann is survived by a son, John Sidney and his wife, Maria of Terlingua a daughter Mary Grace and her husband Jeff Ketner, of San Antonio two sisters and their husbands, Nell and W.J. Mueller of Granite Shoals, and Dottie and Fred Wende of Houston five grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, and many step greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. His beloved wife Virginia died in 1994. Two brothers also preceded him in death. ation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 57p.m. at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Don Rauhut officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville. and family who wish to do so may leave memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund.
