Hilltop Lakes John Charles Gosnell, age 70, of Hilltop Lakes passed from this life on July 9, 2006. He was born on March 3, 1936 in Orestes, Indiana, to John and Katherine Messina Gosnell.JC was born and raised as a Hoosier however, he loved his adopted state of Texas to where he moved in 1969. JCs career was spent working with and helping young people. He served as a Boys Club Director in Indiana and was a Chief Juvenile Probation Officer in Brazoria County. He was a retired Court Liaison Officer and basketball coach for Kerrville ISD. He served on the Columbus, Indiana and the Kerrville, Texas City Councils, respectively. He was also a member of the Silver Anniversary Team inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.He loved basketball, but more than the game, he loved the kids that he coached and mentored. As some have said, He bled Blue and Gold, as he was a true Tivy Antler.Survivors include his wife, Judy Gosnell daughter, Jai Leigh Addison and husband, Al sons, Chip Gosnell and wife Trina, and Scott Gosnell and wife Laura sisterinlaw and brotherinlaw, Lee and Carolyn Gresham sisterinlaw Lelia Borak aunts, Mary Stockton and husband Bill, Polly Wachstettetter, and Helen McCoy six grandchildren, Jason and John David Addison, Nicholas and Jonathen Gosnell, Deven and Trent McGrath along with a host of many loving friends, neighbors, and former students.A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, July 22, 2006 in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028. A reception will follow with details to be announced at the service.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family requests that memorials in JCs memory be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W. 26th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803 or to Hilltop Lakes Chapel, No. 2 Hilltop Drive, P.O.
