KERRVILLE John Marvin Arnold, 81, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on Friday, January 24, 2014 at his home. John was born on February 25, 1932 to Charley Arnold and Effie Moss Driscell in Fabias, Alabama.

After his family moved to Houston, Texas he attended school at Spring Banch School. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Navy where he served his country until October of 1960. After being discharged from the Navy, he began a career in the heating and air conditioning industry in, also in Houston. In 1964, he met June Blake and they were married on March 1, 1964. John had a successful and fulfilling job during Houstons boom in the Medical Center and Industrial fields. He ended his career with retiring from the Carrier Air Conditioning Corp.

He was much admired and loved for his very kind, loving and gentle nature. One friend remarked, He was always to be with. In his company employee file, were many letters from people that he helped in some way, far beyond their expectations.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Effie Arnold along with his older brother, Charles Walker Arnold.

Those left to cherish and honor his memory are his wife, June Arnold of Kerrville, Texas his son, John Blake Arnold of Kerrville, Texas brothers, Albert Earl Melton of Canyon Lake, Texas and Elbert Terrell Melton of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by 3 sisterinlaws, many nieces, nephews, and on to the next generation of grands.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, February 10, 2014 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78208, with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating.
