Joe Quintana

Kerrville Joe E. Quintana, Jr., 68, a loving father and grandfather, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Joe was born on September 21, 1942 in San Antonio, TX. He was the son of Joe E. Quintana, Sr. and Mary Mazzurana Quintana. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Angelina Palmer.

Joe lived in San Antonio all of his life until four years ago when he moved to Center Point, Texas.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his children, Linda Quintana Gianotti and Joe E. Quintana, III., grandchildren Michael and Rebecca Gianotti, his former wife and mother of his children, Sylvia M. Quintana, and sisters Lillian P. Delgado and Lucille Luderus, all of San Antonio, along with his dog quotBabyquot and many relatives and loving friends who will miss him dearly.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, camping, and tending to his plants. He also enjoyed tinkering around on his property and feeding the geese and hummingbirds. When his children were young, he took his family on many driving trips around the country and left memories to last a lifetime. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren including a weeklong camping trip with his beloved grandson, Michael, just a week ago. His granddaughter, Rebecca, was the apple of his eye. They will miss him tremendously.

Joe was retired from National Cash Register NCR where he had a long and distinguished career of over 30 years. He started in an entry level position and retired as a Zone Manager. Many of his friends today are friends that he had for decades and who were former colleagues from NCR.
